ABOUT RYAN
Born and raised in the outskirts of the Mile High City, Ryan has been drawing and painting since he was practically in diapers. When in high school, he turned to the arts. While working part-time as Junior Illustrator at a local screenprinting shop, he had glimpsed a meaningful career path for himself in design.
Under the mentorship of a teacher, he was accepted to the Art Institute of Colorado under scholarship. In 2003 he graduated at the top of his class in Graphic Design with a diverse portfolio of student work, and ready to take on real world problems.
Since then, he has developed a deep passion for thoughtful design, visual storytelling, and clever communication. His experience varies from working on promotional campaigns for Fortune 500 brands to helping local non-profits raise awareness to meet their own goals of giving back. He's worked on some big brands including Kellogg's, MillerCoors, Proctor & Gamble, Freightliner Trucks, Daimler North America, Volunteers of America, Blue Moon Brewing Company, Target, and TeamUSA.
Ryan has directed photoshoots, created production artwork, developed brand identities, prototyped mobile experiences, lead integrated promotional campaigns, presented concepts to clients, and consistently pushed the envelope of possibility.
Currently, Ryan is actively freelancing in the Portland market with his diverse skillset including UX, Branding, and Packaging.

Performed research, including personal interviews,
user testing, persona development, and journey maps. Developed the information architecture and elegant user interfaces for B2B mobile apps and responsive websites. Created superb presentation decks and sales collateral for new business development efforts.

Developed integrated consumer promotions for global Fortune 500 brands.
